WORK FROM HOME, LIVE FROM HOME

When working from home the home physical home environment partly becomes your work environment. The home work balance is mixed, both physically and mentally.

KEEPING THE USER CLOSE

Ideation was not only done on not only the interaction with the home environment and the product but also on the usability and portability of the design. Design visualisations were used to keep target user closely related to the project.

With very limited prototyping facilities cardboard prototypes were used for effective interaction and usability test

“I’LL LEAVE HER TO IT”

By being able to flexibly position the two parts, you’re able to not only visually create your own work environment, but also to communicate to the people around that you’re at work, not at home.

SCRAP TO SHAPE

Besides its great acoustic properties, PET felt enables Pactics to not only use their own polyester scraps again, but also to address Cambodia’s plastic waste problem, since felting is rather forgiving in terms of material use.

Using a simple heat press the structural rigidity and final shape is achieved.

SUBLIMATION PRINTING

With the polyester front cover, which doubles as a hinge, Pactics is able to make prints using their sublimation technique.

Pactics’ home of Cambodia is shown through a height map visualisation on the textile

FOR ANY BRAND

With the product being sold to companies with new at home workers, Pactics is able to differentiate the design for different B2B customers and incoporate their brand indentity into their desing using sublimation printing.
